For the last 83 years, San Antonio River Authority has provided safe, clean and enjoyable creeks and rivers for Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties. Their charter includes river and creek health, sustainability, flood risk reduction, and special projects. We are so fortunate to have this committed organization managing our local waterways. The River Authority continually monitors and improves the health of our rivers, creeks, and tributaries. They also spearhead debris removal and the reduction of flood risk along the river basin. Projects both past and present includes:

  • Bexar County Creeks and Trails Program

  • San Pedro Creek Culture Park

  • Mission Reach Erosion Repairs

  • WSC (Westside Creeks) Ecosystem Restoration Program

Their newly modeled headquarters is beautiful.

After the presentation, the group went to lunch at Box Street Social in the Hemisfair. A big thanks to Mary Young for arranging this fun and educational event!
