Shavano Park Women kicked off 2025 with yet another outstanding event. We began our first quarter Business Meeting by honoring the Shavano Park Police Department on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, expressing gratitude and admiration for our law enforcement who patrol our streets and investigate crimes to ensure the safety and security of our residents and business community. Several of our police officers were present to be recognized.
Tim Thiemann from Republic Services delivered a presentation to the group on recycling, where we lerned a great deal on the subject. Most people make recycling errors due to a lack of information. Tim's presentation was outstanding. Kudos for helping us improve our efforts in protecting the environment.
Attendees then dined from a beautiful grazing board presented by Jonella Munoz of Showbread Catering, while shopping the vendors from the award winning Shavano Park Farmers Market and undecorating city hall.
